Fire Extinguisher Training
Portable fire extinguishers are required in warehouses, office buildings, businesses, churches, hospitals, schools, hotels, and just about any other place of public assembly. Proper use of a portable fire extinguisher can save lives and property by stopping fires while they’re small or during their developing stage. Do you know how to use one? While most portable fire extinguishers operate simply, hands-on training is the best way to ensure timely and efficient operation in an emergency.
IGH Health, Fire, & Safety provides fire extinguisher training to businesses, schools, churches, residences, and more! We provide two Group Training styles, Basic Extinguisher Training and Live-Fire Training, performed by our Professional Firefighters and Certified Extinguisher Technicians.
Basic Extinguisher Training
This training includes a Verbal Presentation outlining the types, sizes, and uses of Extinguishers, Hands-On skills using a mock-up training container (No Live Fire), and the active discharge of 2.5lb, 5lb, 10lb, and 20lb Fire Extinguishers. This session is popular with organizations that may have insurance constraints.
This training course includes everything that the Basic Extinguisher Training provides but instead of using a mock-up training container to discharge the Fire Extinguisher. We use a Live-Fire Training prop fueled by propane. This provides a controlled, real-life scenario that your students, volunteers, or employees will remember. Professional Firefighters in a controlled environment perform all Live-Fire Training. Please consult with your Insurance Agency before booking this course.
